Ultrasound Arterial Doppler

Doppler ultrasound of the lower limbs arteries is carried out (performed) together with an examination of the vascular system of the hips and an assessment of the aorta.

The examination is carried out lying down (as opposed to the examination of veins).

Such an examination is carried out in cases of suspected atherosclerotic changes in the vessels to assess the severity of the lesions and possibly qualify for a vascular surgery.
