Echosclerotherapy - Poradnia Flebologiczna

Echosclerotherapy is a treatment considered by the world phlebology as a good alternative to surgical treatment of varicose veins from the main trunk as the great saphenous vein and the small saphenous vein, in many countries is reimbursed by the health-insurance-fund, unfortunately not yet in Poland.

It is a minimally invasive, safe treatment involving an injection of foam under the control of color Doppler ultrasound into the insufficient veins, the foam with the blinding agent causing the closure and fusion of the vein walls and thus removing it from circulation, just like the surgery removes the insufficient vein-there the vein remains, but it overgrows and forms a fibrous tissue in the future. The treatment does not require anesthesia and the patient does not need to be hospitalized. It is a treatment with low risk of complications.

After the surgery it is necessary to walk for about an hour and wear a compression stocking for a good effect of the treatment.

It is practically painless and is used to treat insufficiency of the great saphenous vein and the small saphenous vein as well as recurrent varicose veins after surgeries.
